UASCJ offers numerous trips all over New York City and State for students and often to parents. In 6th grade, students tour the Tenement Museum in Lower Manhattan where they participate in interactive tours in order to further their understanding of the immigrant experience in America. Every fall middle school students at UASCJ spend a day hiking through Tallman Mountain State Park. Seventh graders experience science hands on at the Liberty Science Center.  Four times a year, students can earn "CORE points" and participate in special trips such as the Circle Line Tour, rollerskating in Prospect Park and a Day of Fun at Governors Island.
